The IAP is proud to partner with the British Pharmacological Society (BPS) for Pharmacology 2026, the Society’s annual meeting, taking place 8 – 10 December 2026 at Manchester Central, UK.
Pharmacology 2026 brings together researchers, clinicians and industry from across pharmacology and therapeutics for three days of symposia, workshops, debates and bootcamps, under the theme “Today’s science, tomorrow’s medicines”. IAP members are warmly encouraged to attend, submit and take part.

BPS travel bursaries for the IAP Annual Meeting
As part of our partnership, the BPS is funding travel bursaries for early career researchers attending the IAP Annual Meeting on Friday, 6 November 2026 at the Wellcome-Wolfson Institute, Queen’s University Belfast.
Up to five bursaries of £100 each are available towards travel and accommodation costs. Bursaries are open to BPS members only and are subject to BPS terms and conditions.
BPS-funded Bursaries to attend IAP26 T&Cs:
Eligibility: Early Career members are those in the early stages of their career, typically up to eight years after graduating from an undergraduate degree. This includes postgraduate students and postdoctoral scientists, foundation doctors and core trainees, clinical pharmacology scientists and pharmacists.
In line with BPS policy, a maximum of 5 bursaries of up to 100£ are awarded towards covering travel and accommodation costs (please note that subsistance expences cannot be claimed).
How to apply: Please complete the application form and provide proof of eligible travel and accomodation expenses incurred within 25 days of the event to the IAP Secretary at aislingbheeran@rcsi.ie.
